About Elizabeth Bowie
Greetings!
I’m Elizabeth Bowie. I’m originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, but I now live in Toronto, Ontario.

For the time being, this site is pretty simple. It’s just an introduction to me and what I do.
I work for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, as a producer for CBC Radio’s national technology show, Spark: Tech, Trends and Fresh Ideas.
When I was six years old, I decided I wanted to be a reporter. When I was seven, I had my birthday party at the CBC studios in my hometown of Halifax. And when I was eight, I wrote to the CBC and asked if I could have a job.
I still have the letter HR sent back thanking me for my interest and asking me to wait ten years. I did, and in the meantime I graduated from Carleton University’s journalism program. Soon after, I arrived on the doorstep of CBC Ottawa. There, in the tallest turret of the old Chateau Laurier studios, I worked as the early morning traffic reporter, the arts reporter and with GO, CBC’s Saturday morning show.
Today, I’m enjoying life in Toronto, and when I’m not kicking up my heels with Spark host Nora Young and producer Dan Misener, I can usually be found in dingy piano bars, singing the Carly Simon Songbook.
For the record, I am not this Elizabeth Bowie, or this Elizabeth Bowie.
